Nighthawk Security of Alabama was started in 1974 by James E McConnell Sr.  The firm was originally a detective agency.  After being requested by two large explosives plants, Hercules and Dupont, the Business expanded to an armed guard security operation exclusively.  The company focus became to provide excellent security and guard services to businesses and individuals in the state of Alabama exclusively.  

Nighthawk Security prides itself in being a family owned local business within Alabama.  The firm has stayed in the McConnell family for over 40 years and is now owned and operated by James McConnell's son, Bob.  Unlike many security firms, our offices are located in the same state we secure.  We feel that is one of our strongest characteristics in that if a client has an issue and needs to meet with us we are local and can accommodate that meeting.
